About_

"Equality" is one of the core values of the European Union. This artwork is crafted in layers of paper in shades of blue, white, and gold, representing the colors of the EU. This original design was initially created for the European Union Gender Equality Award in Costa Rica and has been selected to represent the value of "Equality" throughout the EU.

Today, this art piece resides in the Offices of the European Union Delegation in El Salvador / Embassy of France, specifically in the Lisbon Room, its main meeting center.

The European Union Delegation granted me the opportunity to design artworks representing their values. I depicted these values using my paper layering technique, exclusively utilizing the colors of the EU (blue, white, and gold).

In this piece, a woman and a man stand back to back, their heights perfectly aligned to symbolize equality. As their hair blows in the wind, it intertwines gracefully with the shimmering stars of the European Union, symbolizing the unity and interconnectedness of all individuals. With eyes closed in quiet reflection, they embody a shared vision of harmony and equality.
