About_

"Dignity and Respect for Human Rights" represents one of the core values of the European Union, this artwork is crafted in layers of paper in shades of blue, white, and gold, representing the colors of the EU. Today, this art piece resides in the Offices of the European Union Delegation in El Salvador / Embassy of France, specifically in the Lisbon Room, its main meeting center.

A few months ago, the European Union Delegation granted me the opportunity to design artworks that represent their values. I depicted these values using my paper layering technique, exclusively utilizing the colors of the EU (blue, white, and gold). In the coming days, I'll be sharing the details of each piece.

This piece portrays a wise elder woman with her braided hair cascading, kneeling before a young girl with an afro. Together, they stand before a majestic golden tree, its roots stretching beneath them as a symbol of deep connection. Their hands entwined and foreheads gently touching, this artwork embodies reverence for heritage, the enduring spirit of the past, and the promise of a dignified and respectful future.
