About_

This custom piece was made for an interior design firm who wanted a circular abstract blue piece for a home near the beach.

“Heart of the ocean” represents the deepness of the sea, in the form of a gradient that flows from shore to bottom. The composition is made on circles of paper, which are intertwined representing the life and movement of the oceans. There is a hidden numeric rhythm inside the piece, if you follow each path counting the repetition of green circles you will find that they go from 1 to 9 and then back to 1. This represents the movement of the tides, the repetition of the waves and the breathes one can take underwater.

To protect the piece, a layer of epoxy resin combined with pearlescent powders and gold leaf was applied to this composition made of circles of paper.
