Ale Rambar, Costa Rican multidisciplinary visual artist and architect.

I had the honor of accompanying, through my artwork, the Gender Equality Award ceremony held at the Delegation of the European Union in Costa Rica. In its seventh edition, the award recognized Fundación PANIAMOR for more than three decades of committed work defending the rights of children and adolescents and promoting gender equality through everyday actions that create real change.

It was a meaningful gathering alongside Ambassador Pierre-Louis Lempereur, Deputy Ambassador Galina Karamalakova, ambassadors of EU Member States, and members of the diplomatic corps.

My warmest congratulations to Fundación PANIAMOR on this well-deserved award. I’m deeply grateful to the European Union for the opportunity to support, from the arts, an initiative that places human rights and gender equality at its core.

I had the honor of participating in the Esencial Costa Rica B2B Fórum, held at the Costa Rica Convention Center, where I exhibited my work alongside my dear friend and fellow artist Man Yu. Together, we represent Costa Rica internationally as Essential Costa Rica ambassadors in the arts.

B2B Fórum brings together Costa Rican talent, innovation, and excellence, fostering meaningful connections between businesses, creators, and leaders. This year’s edition gathered more than 600 representatives from the Esencial Costa Rica licensed community.

Grateful to be part of this inspiring space of connection and growth.

Grateful to have shared space with leaders like Minister Cindy Quesada, Ambassador Pierre-Louis Lempereur, and Deputy Ambassador Galina Karamalakova.

Thank you to the EU for this meaningful celebration of resilience and change.

Estudio Rambar, showcased the work of 115 local artists across multiple disciplines — from painting and sculpture to immersive digital installations, traditional hand papermaking techniques, and even gastronomic art. The exhibition aimed to offer a small taste — a “boca” — of each artist’s unique voice and vision.

The event also featured a variety of cultural activities, including a poetry slam, artist talks, art workshops, and a private concert.

BOCA was created in collaboration with Óptica.EF Art Gallery.
